Terve, Players! (That's Finnish for hello!) This week was full of cool games, many new! We had game night as usual on Tuesday, and then of course, PAX Unplugged! You can read more about my con in my last post, or just scroll on down to see my reactions to games (Everything from ArchRavels down was from PAX weekend). If you were at PAX what was your favorite game that you saw/played?? Happy Gaming~ Reaction Key ❤️ - Loved It/Always Love It/Favorite 😄 - Liked It/Will Likely Play Again 🤷🏻♀️ - Okay/Take It or Leave It 👎🏻 - Didn't Like/Would Not Play Again 🆕 - New-to-Me Game ❤️ Mystic Vale - Played this at home early in the week with the Havens kit which was neat! Then played again the night before PAX!
😄 Castles of Mad King Ludwig 😄 Spoils of War 😄 Code 777 😄 Bees: The Secret Kingdom 🆕😄 ArchRavels - Super cool set collection game with amazing colors and art! 🆕🤷🏻♀️ Silver - It was neat, but a little too long for my taste 😄 Azul 😄 Lanterns: The Harvest Festival ❤️ Adventure Time Love Letter 🆕😄 Mandala - Cool abstract game for 2! 🆕😄 Adventure Mart - Only played a quick round to demo, but I will be reviewing this, and I can't wait! 🆕😄 Prisma Arena - Played a prototype copy, but it already looks awesome!! I can not wait to see more from this game :) 🆕😄 Cat Cafe - Bought this after a quick play, so much fun! 🆕❤️ Sleeping Giants - I'm excited that Bearly Asleep (what this game came from) is being published! But it was great to play this new version with Jeff Johnston (the designer). I loved the addition of player abilities! ❤️ Leaf Me Alone - Jeff finally found his groove with this one! I've always liked playing this game while it was being developed because the theme and mechanics were fun, but now that it's more of a real time game, it's even greater! 🆕😄 Rolling Up Roses - Cool game I tried out in the Unpub area. A neat roll and write that I am interested to see where it goes! 🆕🤷🏻♀️ Blossoms - It was okay, but a bit boring to me 🆕🤷🏻♀️ Pyramid of Penqueen - Played this one twice so as to try out both sides. The queen side was way harder and insanely frustrating (I don't ever like hidden movement games). The penguin side was okay, but it still wasn't the game for me. 🆕🤷🏻♀️ Ta-Da! - It was cute and silly, but not much game here 🆕😄 Haunt the House - Super cute! We got it in the math trade, and can't wait to play it again! 🆕😄 Waters of Nereus - So good we bought it right after we played! So aesthetically appealing too! 🆕🤷🏻♀️ Brave Rats - It's only a 5 minute game, plus it was free, so can't complain! 🆕🤷🏻♀️ Symphony No. 9 - Really pretty thanks to a rainbow color scheme, but it was a bit fiddly for me with a bot player 🆕🤷🏻♀️/👎🏻 Quilt Show - Not great rule book and overall just boring turns and gameplay 🆕👎🏻 Adventure Games: Monochrome Inc. - Bad rulebook, bad game. Nothing pointed you in any actual direction or game any indication of what you were supposed to be doing. It was just a guessing game but with no end in sight because you just have no knowledge of the world you're supposed to be in. 🆕😄 Rival Restaurants - Neat cooking game with some real-time mechanics. I love the art, and the theme, and everything seems to fit together well 🆕😄 Trails of Tucana - cool flip and write with similarities to Avenue and a bunch of variability 🆕🤷🏻♀️/😄 Dadaocheng (2nd edition) - Similar to Paradox in many ways but on a shared board. It was neat but not my favorite 🆕❤️ Pretty Pretty Princess - Classic 🆕🤷🏻♀️ Obscurio - Didn't do it for me as much as Mysterium but it was only a demo so I'd have to play a full game to get a real feel 🆕😄 Time Breaker - Super neat, light card game 🆕❤️ Silver and Gold - Awesome flip and write with Tetris similarities and a fast turn time 🆕🤷🏻♀️/😄 Paris: New Eden - It was okay but had a lot more going on that I felt like it needed 🆕🤷🏻♀️ Schmatz Spatz - Cute kids game! 🆕😄 Anomia - Neat fast paced party card game 🆕❤️ Roland Wright - Awesome and colorful roll and write game, tied with Silver and Gold for fave of the weekend 🆕😄 Noctiluca - Very pretty and just all around a cool and unique game. 🆕😄 Just One - Finally got to try it, and bought it!

Thanks for the encouraging words! And you two helped with the final kinks of Leaf Me Alone. Fingers-crossed for that one to find a good home!
