If you love a good doodle...or a bad one... and want to transform those doodles into works of art, also known as happy little accidents, then boy, do I have the game for you! In Bob Ross: Happy Little Accidents, you'll create masterpieces out of squiggles that will hopefully earn you the votes of all your fellow artists! Simple, fun, and oh so chill, this will be a great start to any group's game night. Let's take a closer look! What Is It? A chill party game for 3 to 6 players where you work to turn your happy little accidents into masterpieces! In very Bob Ross-esque fashion, you ignore the "mistakes" and watch as they transform into art right before your eyes! Who Is It For? The game itself recommends ages 10 and up, which I feel is pretty accurate. I think kids and adults alike could really get into this relaxing, artsy game. However, if your little gamers also want to join the fun, let them! I think even slightly younger players could enjoy the doodling and might strike up some creativity transforming them! Additionally, this game isn't just for artists. Sure, if you're already good at drawing, you might benefit from that, but even if stick figures are about as good as it gets for you, you'll still be able to whip up something great! Quality of Components There aren't a ton of components to this game, but of what there is, they're not bad. The doodle paper is a bit thin and I'd recommend putting it on top of something when drawing so it doesn't leak through. The cards are average, but since you aren't ever doing heavy shuffles or anything they're plenty sturdy; the tokens are also a nice quality cardboard. Finally, the markers are okay, they'll probably last for a few dozen plays , depending on how hard people press, and then need to be replaced, but that's not a big deal since that's something easy to obtain. Pros
Cons
Difficulty This game is easily only a 1/5 difficulty. You doodle, you transform, and at the end you vote for your favorite piece of art! It plays really quickly so even if you have a rough round you could always play again and see what new pictures you create! Final Thoughts I really enjoyed this game! I've played a fair amount of games where you need to doodle something and they're usually very frustrating because, plot twist, I'm not very good at art (not really a plot twist, I know). But this is so much better because you tell a story with every image to explain how it came about. In the end, the best artist doesn't necessarily win, but the person with the silliest drawing or the most complicated starting doodle might! It's got a ton of replayability, it seems like it would be great for any audience, and I can't wait to get it to the table again.
