If you ask almost anyone who knows me, they will certainly tell you that I love food. I love to cook, bake, and definitely eat. As food is one of my favorite things, when you combine that with gaming, I'm probably going to be very interested! While, of course, I haven't played every food-themed game that there is, I have found a few awesome ones along the way, and if you're a food and game love like me, I highly recommend them all!

You can check out my full review of Kitchen Rush here. But to summarize, this is a great co-op game that really gives you the illusion of the rush of being in a restaurant kitchen. A tad easier in the sense that you don't actually have customers waiting on food who will leave you terrible Yelp reviews if your meal is late or incomplete, Kitchen Rush keeps the pressure on and the fun boiling. (I hope you are prepared for many a food pun in this post). If you like co-op games, I highly recommend this kitchen-themed treasure.
If you're looking for a lighter choice, maybe something to enjoy with the kids, allow me to suggest Taco Takeover! A simple game of collecting ingredients from a face-down mishmash of cards for your perfect taco, this game is another fast-paced hoot! What really makes this one special is the fun taco-shaped card holders and ingredient cards. Really makes the theme stick out!

Maybe you're interested in a sweet treat after all that cooking and tacos? Pie Town is just the treat you need! A pretty typical worker-placement game where you also want to level up your dice workers and spy on the competition to ensure you have the best pie, and know their secret recipe as well, Pie Town will get you strategizing, and have your mouth watering for pie in no time at all!

Now, I don't want this post to go on forever, so I will briefly mention just a few more awesome food-themed games I enjoy:
  • Sushi Go/Sushi Go Party!: Both very good renditions of a simple, but adorable drafting game. Great for all ages, and art that will have you asking to play again and again!
  • Grand Austria Hotel: Not the sole theme of the game, of course, but you can't deny that providing excellent food service to your hotel patrons is essential to creating the best stay! The only thing that could improve the use of the food theme in this game is having upgraded pieces to showcase wine, pastries, etc instead of plain wooden cubes.
  • Burger Mania: A fun and challenging dexterity game for two, race against the conveyor belt to create burgers and catch them before they fall!
  • Go, Go, Gelato: Another exciting dexterity game, try to stack your cones and gelato in the correct patterns to score points! Gotta be quick, but don't drop any gelato!
There are so many more amazing food games out there that are a treat to play, and I highly recommend a ton of them. I also hope that I get the chance to play many more!

What are some of your favorite food-themed games? Comment and let me know!

As always, happy gaming, friends!~
